Venue: Sri Jayaprakash Narayan National Youth Training Center, Vidyanagar, Bengaluru.
Khelo India State Centre of Excellence Vidyanagar Bangalore In order to select talented swimmers in swimming for the training centre here, the selection process will be organized at Sri Jaya Prakash Narayan National Youth Training Centre Sports School, Vidyanagar, Bangalore on 25.10.2025 and 26.10.2025. Interested and eligible athletes can participate in the selection.
Eligibility for participation (at the time of selection)
- Should be above 14 years of age and should be under 21 years of age as on 01-07-2025. Currently studying in 10th class in the academic year 2025-26 and should be eligible for admission to the First Undergraduate Course (1st PUC) in the academic year 2026-27.
- A self-declared application with a recent passport size photograph should be submitted at the time of selection.
- Born and residing in Karnataka
- Must have won a medal at least in official state-level sports events (swimming association, state school sports event, university-organized sports event).
- Those who have participated and won medals in official national level sports events (sports events organized by Swimming Federation, National Federation of Schools and All India University) will be given a scholarship.
- Must have participated in the competitions of the previous and current year’s sports events.
- Boys and girls born and residing in Karnataka and athletes recruited under the sports wing can participate.
- Athletes selected in the sports school / hostel scheme of the department can participate in this selection process. Participation in the selection test organized on the day of this selection process is mandatory.*
- For registration of date of birth, a copy of the birth certificate or a copy of the mark sheet of the 10th class, certified by the principal of the educational school and the original copy must be submitted.
- A copy of the certificate of achievement and ability achieved in sports and the original copy must be submitted.
- Health certificate and physical fitness certificate from a government doctor A certified copy and original copy must be submitted.
Verification training by the Department 12. The Department will organize a camp for the athletes selected in the selection process and provide admission to the athletes who qualify. - Athletes who are subject to suspension due to doping are not allowed to apply.
- The athletes selected in the selection process will be given admission after organizing a training camp and qualifying the athletes.
- Athletes who are under suspension due to doping will not be allowed to apply.
- To reach Sri Jaya Prakash Narayan National Youth Training Center, take 282, 2820, 282E from Market. 298 BMTC buses reach Vidyanagar and bus number 298M from Majestic reaches Vidyanagar Cross.
The Deputy Directors/Assistant Directors/Coaches of the Department have been instructed to take steps to ensure that more athletes participate in the selection process by giving more publicity to the above selection process through renowned daily newspapers, television and social media.
Disclaimer:
- No injuries, illness, any other deaths, permanent disability and will not be responsible during the selection. In case of loss of life, the organization or department
- No daily allowance or travel allowance will be given to the athletes appearing for the selection.
- Only light meals will be provided during the selection.
- Sports equipment approved and certified by the Federation will be used in the selection trial.
