The Nettakallappa Aquatic Centre is named in the memory and honour of Mr. K A Nettakallappa, former Managing Director of Deccan Herald and Prajavani group of newspapers and a passionate sports enthusiast. Mr. Nettakallappa was actively involved in supporting many associations including badminton, mountaineering and athletics in the state of Karnataka. The Nettakallappa Aquatic Centre came into existence in the year 2012 and in order to mark the journey of 10 years of aquatic excellence, the Nettakallappa All India Swimming Championship will be organized on 12th and 13th November 2022...
