The selections will be held for 2 days from 23rd – 24th August 2022 (Tuesday & Wednesday) at Jayaprakash Narayan National Youth Training Center, Vidya Nagar, Bengaluru North.
Below are some of the important criteria for selections:
1.) Junior and Senior swimmers (Both Gender – Age Category: Open, Group 1, Group 2) of the current calendar year and the previous calendar year will be considered for the selections. Sub Junior (Group 3) Swimmers are not preferred.
2.) The swimmers should have compulsorily participated in the last two years swimming championships.
3.) Finalists of all the events held during Karnataka State Junior and Senior Swimming Championships will be considered for the selection.
4.) In case if any swimmer has not reached finals in the State Swimming Championships but can swim to the 6th Position timings of SFI Junior and Senior National Aquatic Championships may be given a chance to take part in the selections.
5.) Physical ability test will be compulsorily conducted earlier to swimming tests.
6.) The following swimming tests will be conducted:
a.)T–30 Swim or 7x200m Step Test or 3000m Endurance Swim.
b.) Time Trials for the Main Stroke (50m & 100m)
c.) 200m Individual Medley Swim off
d.) Various Starts and Turns.
e.)Please Note: Prescribed Cut off Age for Khelo India State Centre of Excellence selection is 14 Years – 23 Years.
